Dead tranny....dead

I killed the 700r4 in my 91 RS, I killed it good. I was cruising along and my rpm's shot up, and my speed went down. I've been kind of expecting this for awhile since the thing has shifted like a luxo boat from day one (6 months ago). I pulled the trans dipstick and it wasn't red anymore....it was closer to black. I only have reverse left for about 5 minutes after a cold start up. So anyways, I work at a GM dealership, so thats where the service is being done. The labor is gunna be 225 bucks. Heres where the question comes in. I got a 4L60 out of a wrecked 93 TA (its non-electric) and the TC too. I'm assuming the only thing that will ahve to be done is changing the vehicle side connector over to the newe style, and my speedo gears will have to be changed from the 93's to the 91's so my speedo works right....right? Oh and does the 93's converter stall higher than my 91's? Hopefully it'll shift nice and snappy, supposedly has a shift kit.
