I have recently purchased a 1989 camaro with no engine or tranny. my question is ive seen that there are alot of different types of 700r4s out there and how do i go about getting the right one. its a 1989 rs if you need anything else let me know so i dont buy a transmission that wont work. also how do i know what gear it has and how does the drivetrain hold up when you put a decient amount of power to it. i have a flattop 355 with a big cam and and 2.02 461 doublehump heads. nothn special but will a 700r4 with a 2500 stall and stock rearend hold up pretty well?
