Could be your slave cylinder ear broke and it's not pushing in the clutch fork.
That is what happend to my car about 2 months ago. It got harder and harder to shift into any gear. Then I got stuck at a stop light cuz I couldn't get the car into any gear. I finally slammed it really really hard into first and was able to pull into a parking lot and get the car towed home. The slave cylinder is under the car right in front of the drivers leg area next to the transmission. Look under there and see if the slave cylinder is still in place or if it is crooked. The ears where the bolt goes through is plastic, so this could be a fairly common problem on older cars.
The part was less than $20.00 and took about 30 minutes to change.
After we changed it and filled the resovoir with fluid I pumped the clutch and there was no pressure. The next day while I was trying to remove the clutch master cylinder(which I thought was not working anymore) I suddenly got pressure in the clutch. Been working fine since then.
Hope this helps you out.
