Has anyone busted their stock 10 bolt and if so what exactly did you break. I have a 1991 RS with 3.42's and i want 3.90's (if possible) with a posi or powertrax or somthing. Are certian gears stronger than others? Thanks for the help! As you can tell i am fairly new at this.

My favorite was when I broke a carrier (one-wheel wonder, with no traction) in half.

Broke two 3:73's with a stock L69 5speed. Both times either the pinion bearing was deflecting or the carrier. End result was the same, several teeth broken off of the ring gear.
