Apparentally one the of the 2 gears i need for my 3.73 swap is all gone , the 21 tooth which GM said is ORANGE has been discontinued. The 7 tooth PURPLE is still there for 8 bucks. Anyone have an idea where else to get one, besides raiding another tranny. thnx

Wait a second... is this for your 700R4 trans or something else? Your 700R4 doesnt use a 7/21 combo, that is for a T5. 3.73's for a 700R4 is 15/45. But, bummer about the 21 tooth, cuz I need that for my T5!

yep i have the 700r4, so thats good news for me , bad for you The chevy dealer here in the west said the were discontinued (the 21 tooth ). the part number is 14090594, and this should be for a orange 21 tooth, gear code "Q". It was stock with the early 80's 4 cyl 3.73 cars. I thought it was for the auto also. Happy hunting hope it works out

The L69 cars had 3.73 gears also, but I think the gears are different for cable and electronic speedos. I'm calling GM and checking on speedo gears for electronic speedos in the morning.
