I spent some quality time at the tranny shop today trying to decide what would be a good tranny behind my zz430 with 430 lbs of torque. The car did have a WC t5 I went and got a 2400 loan for a t56. The tranny shop says go with a turbo 400 and then I wont have to worry about it again. I know the 400 is tough and a lot cheaper than the t56 but I love to shift and love overdrive. someone please throw some ideas my way

 

For $2400 you could have a bulletproof 700R4 with a stall converter and manual valvebody. Most likley have some leftover
