4L60E 3500Stall Transgo stg 2, Wont shift 2-3WOT

Ok guys.. I'm getting no help from LS1 tech and I always get help here. I just put in a ls1 and 4l60e in to my 92 Z28. Runs great! Except wot 2-3 shifts. It just slips. HPtuners shows its engauged in 3rd but keeps going. Rpms don't fall. When this happens my rpms will be at 7000rpm and inputshaft speeds will be 4000rpm. Could I have a bad stall? Only to be doing the 2-3? What about low line pressuers from a mis installed shift kit? I've been tuning hp tuners every way and it will do nothing for 2-3 wot. Please help!

It sounds like you are losing the 3-4 clutches. Put a pressure gauge on and see what the pressures are. If the clutches are going away, you will have to tear it down and replace them with a HD clutch setup. The TransGo Performance Shift kit cannot save the clutches if they are going away. If you replace the 3-4 clutch pack I will help you out on the separator plate hole sizes. I carry the different 3-4 clutch setups for these. Let me know? Dana

Ok well thanks for the help. When I got the Transgo stg 2 shift kit installed the transmission shop went through it and looked at the condition of everything(atleast thats what they said). He replaced the seperator plate,1-2 band ect. I'm thinking he didn't install the shift kit tight. 1-2 just driving around feels good. 2-3 isn't as tight and is definatly not there at WOT. I really appricate your help. I guess i'll check the trans pressures next.

I'm thinking the trans shop Installed the Shiftkit wrong. The tcc kicks in and out at appox 20% throttle. But HPtuners is saying its still engauged (scan).Could this be due tow main pressures??I'll be putting a psi gauge on the trans this weekend.

I agree with pro built automatics, But my question is how do you know your input shaft speed when these transmissions didn't have an input speed sensor until 2007. If you are going by slip speed on the scan tool it may be inacurate because it will include slipping of clutches as well as converter.
