tranny length and driveshaft question

i plan to put a th350 in my 88 iroc z in spring, i heard if i have a th350 with a 9 inch tailshaft my drive shaft will work. do i have to change the yoke or anything like that? and how long is a 700r4. anything will help

it'll work with the long tail shaft 350. you'll need a b&m pn 30299 to make it work

Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The yoke is a direct fit. The TH350 and 700R4 use the same spline output shaft. The 700R4 driveshaft will work with no modifications on the TH350 9" tailshaft. The only thing you need to do is buy the kit so you can mount the torque arm since the TH350 doesn't have a mount on the tailshaft like the 700R4 has. The tranny mount is a little different also. The TH350 rear mount sits 2" forward from where the 700R4 sits. I believe the kit has provisions for this.
