cheap solution on the t-56 electric to cable speedo?
Well Im going to be doing a T-56 swap, and I have a cable speedo. As everyone knows the T-56 has a electronic speed sensor. All the options are around 300 bucks, weather its mod the tailhousing, or buy the box. Does anyone know of a cheap way to fix this? Im about to try to rig up something myself.....

There really isn't a cheaper solution than the two you wrote of. I figured that instead of spending $300 and keep all the original figity gauges I would spend $550 for covans cluster and autometer gauges with an electric speedo. Go with the Jimmy jams cluster and it'll be around $450 give or take. Those are really your only options. OR keep your regular gauge face and load it with aftermarket gauges to bring the price lower, of course you'll only have 4 gauges instead of the 5 your used to.

Cheapest solution I have found to date is indeed swapping in an Autometer electronic speedo. This is the route I am planning to go next summer. Right now I have a mechanical AM speedo in dash just to fill the hole.
