SVT T56
I just ended up with a 2003 Mustang SVT cobra T-56 Trasmission ..car was T boned -still drives great they are pulling the engine for a project -- leaving me with the trans for the price of TAKE it Home we don't want to see it .......... Hmm
What will it take to fit this trans in my 92 camaro -------???
is it worth it or should I skip it and find a GM trans ???

Re: SVT T56
If it was free I'd take it home. A hear a lot of the internal parts are the same in all T56's. You never know when you may need something (like a 3/4 syncro hub like I did) that will cost you big $$$

yea the internals are the same, if you wanna replace that input shaft and possibly the output.. it should work if you can get the lt1 bellhousing for it

Re: SVT T56
Here is what I was thinking -- I know thinking is dangerous----I am running a 11 inch zoom clutch--and Lakewood scatershield using this adapter plate from This company The GEAR BOX install GM input shaft about $550 in parts for a free transmission.. The output should not be an issue I will have the drive shaft yoke --- I will replace my T-5 sphon torque arm with t-56 setup
Ok less than grand all done what do you think ........

Re: SVT T56
I thought I heard somewhere the Cobra T56 (the ones used in the S/C cars) had the same internals that the Dodge Viper T56 used? Anyone know if theres any truth to that? I know alot of the LT1/LS1 F-car guys upgrade to Viper internals. Are the Cobras already set up like that?
