Hey guys, i have a 91 RS with a 700 r4 that im installing a transgo kit on right now. My question is this...im to the part where im about to put the seperator plate and the valvebody back on...however i cant seem to find the 4th accumulator piston anywhere...I dont remember taking it out ever, and its not in the hole it shows it should go. I may have taken it out and not noticed, and then lost the piece, but is it possible that some years of the 700r4 didnt have this 4th accumulator piston? Or do i need to head down to monument and get a new one???

 

nevermind...already got my answer...yes all years have the 4th accumulator piston...even the current 4l60E's. Just in case any of you were wondering also

 

So did you take it out and lose it or was it missing from your trans?

 

Well im assuming i had it in there and just lost it. I know ill find it right after i get everything back together. The only thing i can think of is that when you take the seperator plate off the accumulator piston may come down with it...it mustve done that and i didnt notice it and didnt keep it with all the other parts.
