Rear End Swap
Rear End Swap
Need some further info. I currently purchased the rear end w/ disc brakes that was removed from a wrecked 2002 camaro RS. Im going to install it into my 89 iroc w/ drums. The 00 rear end needs 1 new brake caliper. Can I replace that caliper w/ one from an 89 camaro that does not have SBS braking since my 89 does not have SBS? Also is this a direct swap or will I need to replace the master cylinder or anything else? Im new at this and I'm trying to learn. Please help.

Re: Rear End Swap
Calipers are totally different. Do a search, all the info has been cover a million times on how to do this. You will need a proportioning valve for a rear disc car, I bought a 1LE vavle when I did my swap. The hard brake lines will have to be modified. And you'll lose the ebrake unless you fab something up. It's been done, just start searching and reading.
