Hey guys. Just a got new transmission in my ride, with all the good stuff in it. Neck snapping shifts in every gear, vette servo and valve body, new high pressure pump, etc... I installed it myself. The tranny didnt come with a gear on the tailshaft, so I took the plastic red gear out of mine and put in on. It goes on with a little metal clip that keeps it on there I guess. Now after about 20 miles my speedo dont work so I'm guess it slid off . This happened before and a tranny shop fixed it but I dont know what they did. What's the best way to make sure that gear doesnt slide off ?? Thanx

Did you install the proper sleeve?

So what... am the only guy that actually took a tranny apart instead of just talking about it ? LOL Not even Probuilautomatics knows about how this gear needs to go on ?
