i'm looking fot a 10 bolt rear end to rebuild. i am basically going to replace everything, go with a richmond gear or something similar. i ran across a rear end out of an 82 v-6 and i'm wondering if there is anything different about it that would make it a waste of money.

 

no that rearend should be just fine to rebuild as long as you dont mind puting a posi in

 

i have a 10 bolt disc rear with posi and 3:42 gears, 26 spline axles i'd consider selling and i'm not all that far from you.

i'm planning on a posi or a locker to throw into it as well as 28 spline axles. just wanted to know if a v6 rear was weaker than a v8 rear
