th350 driveshaft length
i am putting a th350 in my 82 camaro it was prevesiously a 700r4 fromt he factory and i am curious what driveshaft i need i have a 1le from an 88 gta but was told it was short. any help on the matter would be appreciated

Car: 87 IROC L98
Engine: 588 Alcohol BBC
Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
If it's a 9" long tail shaft TH350 then the 700R4 driveshaft is a direct fit. If it's the short 6" tailshaft then you need to lengthen the shaft or find one from an 82-83 with the 200c tranny.
Hmmm. I just re-read the first post. 82's didn't come with a 700R4 so you probably have the 200c tranny.

Racing at 3500 feet elevation but most race days it's over 5000 feet density altitude!
