I switched my car from 305 EFI to Mild 350 carbed. The tranny won't downshift when I get on it. The car is an '87 Iroc-Z. I had to fabricate a way to hook up the kickdown cable to the carb, but don't think this is the problem. All I did was use a piece of flat stock to take up the space and leave it loose enough to swivel like it originally did when the throttle is opened. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

 

what tranny is it??? 700 then i have answers for you the t.v. is probably out of wack and need calibrating! is the bracket tight enough?? does it move when you floor it?(the bracket?) if it moves then thats the prob!

Future mods performer rpm air gap intake (polished) comp roller cam, and way better headsa 400 defintely in the works!
