Trans. won't shift, HELP!!

I'll try this post one more time.
At wide WOT my 700-r4 simply doesn't want to shift into 2nd, and when it does, its pure mush. At WOT the engine hits the rev limiter at 5000, and just bounces around there for a long time and usually doesn't shift until I let off the gas. However the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts seem to be okay and actually are fairly firm.

I have reset the throttle cable, pushed it back toward the firewall all the way. So I'm wondering what exactly is wrong, is it the torque converter slipping, are the clutch packs in the trans. wearing down, or is it maybe just the shift kit( I haven't heard many good things from B&M's kits)?

It's so bad I can't even race a minivan.
I need to know what I need to do to fix it.
Thanks for any help.

sounds like maybe somebody goofed when reassembling your valvebody.

I'm starting to think that the shift kit might be the problem too, I know that when I installed it, the plate in between the valvebody had already been slightly modified, and when I tried to install the springs in the accumulator, there were srock pieces in the instructions that I did not have and the pistons were reversed in the instructions from what I had.

At least this is probably a good place I should start. I was thinking I might try a Transgo kit, they're a little pricy, but I've heard there worth it.

Thanks alot for the help guys.
