I have had my megashifter for a year now and it works great(other than reverse light problem). It didn't do this at first, 6 months later it started and now it seems to be slowly getting worse. When I shift it from Park to OD, the reverse lights stay on in OD. I have to drop it down into drive, then the reverse lights go off, then shift it back up to OD and then they will stay off. Now It has gotten worse where I have to drop it into second and then back up to my normal drive gears to get it to go off. Does anybody have any suggestions or have had a similar problem? You may have to readjust the reverse light switch which is attached to the side of your megashifter. There are two switches, reverse lights and neutral safety. The switch has probably moved.

 

how do I adjust it?

 

loosen the screws and slide the switch. You may also need to bend the small lever a little bit.

the same think is happening to mine but i think my switch is shot as no matter how much i adjust it nothing and there is alot of freeplay in it
