Richmond 6 speed swap help?

My 87 camaro was pretty much built out of junk yard parts during my teen years with an old 350 out of a 74 blazer and a t-350 tranny they just happened to have laying around. im ready now to finally put some money into the thing since i FINALLY have a steady income. im looking to swap the little 3 speed for a richmond 6 speed. is there anything i should know or that i may run into with this project. im mostly concerned with frame mods and where to buy clutch pedal assemblies and linkages. i just want to get a clue about what im getting into before i spend a couple thousand dollars and end up scratching my head for hours wondering how im going to do this. so any information from anyone who has a richmond 6 speed would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Richmond 6 speed swap help?

IMO I would suggest a Tremec t-56 as I think finding the info to do the swap would be easier. There is a great sticky thread at the top of this page that is extremely helpful. There are a lot of parts needed for the swap that are covered in the sticky. Good luck!
