I have a 1984 Z28 Automatic w/overdrive. the trans is missing 2nd and 4th. i dont know too much about how to fix cars, so first off what trans is in it now most likely, and what kind should i get for it? average price for used trans? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

 

If you have the Z 28 with a 305 the likelyhood that you have a 700r4 is rather high. I've seen these going new for about 650 to 750. If you have the parts list in your center console that would help because that will give you the answer to exactly what you have in the car. With reguards to everyone else in here converting over to t5 I think that might take some reworking. I don't think that its an dead bolt on.
