Busted 9-bolt question....

I recently had a collision with a curb in my 89 Formula. It took a chunk out of one of my aluminum rims, destroyed the disk brakes on that side and aparently bent the axle. Is there anyplace on the net or otherwise, that sells replacement axle shafts for the 9-bolt? Would i be better off getting a 4th gen. 10-bolt? My machanic seemed to think there might be problems with the brakes from a newer camaro or firebird. Is there ANY modifications that need to be made to the braking system to accomodate the 10-bolt? Thanks for your help!

Hi there,
I recently changed my 9 bolt disc brake Borg/Warner rear end for a 10 bolt setup. I had ran into a problem with the rubber line that T's off from the 2 stainless brake lines that are on the axle.It seems the disc"s rubber hose has differnt fittings on it than the drum brakes.I had a post up here on the this problem but no one answered.

Which axle do you need?

Take a measurement and let me know. I still have one left over from a 9-bolt rear-end.

Sold the other one. It is in perfect condition.....

I need the measurement to be sure.... I sold one and I can not remember which one I sold. Drivers or passenger...

They are two totally different lengths.

Let me know... I want to make sure I have the one you need the first time through...

Does anyone know what the measurement is????
