Ok, I am putting a new 700R4 in an 88 camaro tomorrow, can anyone tell me the PROPER way to adjust the TV cable? I don't want to destroy this trans. :-)

Have someone inside vehicle and give it full throttle while someone opens TV cable window tnen push back 1/8 inch then close cable window. Then drive for fine tuneing. On a 1-2 shift you must have a 2-1 downshift same as 2-3 upshift you must have a 3-2 downshift and so on. If you really want to make sure your TV is perfect run a line pressure test. Line at minimum TV @ 1000 RMP in park or neutral should be 65-75 PSI. At full trottle TV pressure should be 130-170 on some and 140-180 PSI. F.C. Racing Transmissions by the Tranny Doctor
