Rolls in Park

Got a question,

Should I re-adjust the Shift Lever linkage. When ever it is in park it rolls. and the Gears really don't match up with the in car lever.

Can some one give me a quick how to?

Re: Rolls in Park

to adjust the cable, get under the car and look on the drivers side of the transmission, you will see the shift cable coming out of the floor and attatching to the transmission. Where it attatches to the trans, you can loosen the nut and slide the cable in the elongated hole that it bolts into.

When you turn your car off, does it feel like it is in reverse? if you can take your foot off of the brake and it sits still you may be looking at a broken parking pawl.

Re: Rolls in Park

im thinking you have a bad park pawl, it eventually doesnt hold well if people never use their parking brake and let it sit on the park pawl

Re: Rolls in Park

I think I have the same problem. Is it costly?

Maybe I will just always use the e brake.
