tranny probs

Hey guys I need some advice. The 700R4 in my car is thrashed beyond rapair. What is the best tranny to get. I'm not all that interested in a T56 since I had one in my 97 Z2b and it blew 2nd and 3rd along with the rear end. I dont mind sticking with an auto I just need to know who does the best race rebuilds.

------------------
1988 Camaro
305 bored .030 over
Stock TBI
Aluminum radiator
No smog pump
gutted factor cleaner
cam ground to crane specs
timing advanced 9 degrees
no thermostat
other than that its bone stock and ran a 16.4 @ 82 mph with earth shattering wheel hop and a 2.88 60 ft time. (this was with the rebuild and cam only)

there are several.

Level-10 is a good one but pricey.

TCI is ok for 400-500hp and comparatively cheap.

I had my build-up done locally and cost around $850 not including the cost of a 4X4 tranny case, or a Vigilante torque converter.

Here's the best one I know of that is near you.

Be glad to help. First, what are you looking for? A street/strip-road race type of transmission, or more of a Heavy Duty type? When you race do you like to shift it yourself? Or do you want it to shift automaticlly at a specific rpm? Which torque converter are you planning to use? I will be glad to answer any questions you might have give me a call at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 10-6 PST.
As always glad too help!!!
