Opinions of Moser Axles?

Just wondering if anybody had any Moser axles made for a third-gen and whether you supplied the measurement or they had them and whether the axles were cut to the correct length.

The axles shafts aren't necessarly the weak link of the the 7 5/8 10 bolt, and that axle isn't worth putting that much money into it, IMO. Put the money for axle shafts towards a 12 bolt or nine inch. I don't know if that is the answer you were looking for, but that is my "Opinion of Moser Axles."

Just out of curiosity, has anyone had an axle shaft failure in one of these rearends?

Actually I was wondering b/c I bought a pair of Moser axles and they were .040" too long. I had to do this because of my ZT posi swap. I was just trying to find out if anybody had ordered some third-gen axles from them and whether they came in the right length.

My Moser's were about .035 - .040 too long as well. Additionally, the OD at the end by the C-clip was also about .005-.010 to big to slip through the machined area in the HD Torsen paddle.

I got my factory 28 spline axles for $100 from a junk yard. I had to buy the whole rear end, but still cheaper than the Mosers. It was an open, drum brake rear out of a 91 firebird 305.

I had to replace an axle shaft because the previous owner bent one of them, I used the mosers and had the same problem of them being a little to long, we just ground a little metal off the end of each shaft.
