Trans Temp sending Unit

I recent bought an auto meter electric Trans Temp guage where is the the best place to mount the sending unit. The trans is a non lockup 350 Turbo.

You could take the trans pan down, drill & tap it for the sensor hole, clean the pan, and put it back up. I also recall someone buying a manifold from Autometer that went between the tranny and the factory trans cooler, and held a bung for the temp sensor.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Depends on what they give you to mount it. The one I have is designed to mount in one of the cooler lines. You mount it in the return line. That's the upper one on the rad cooler and the upper one on the tranny.
