torque converter oil seal

i have a 92 rs with a 3.1L and a 700r4 behind it, and the torque converter oil seal is busted. i was just wondering if its possible to replace the seal without removing the transmission or if i have to drop it. if anyone knows please let me know, thanks.

Re: torque converter oil seal

must be pulled out
you have to take the converter out of the tranny to get to the seal
