8.5 ten bolt ???

8.5 ten bolt ???

Who makes 8.5 ten bolts for the 82-92 camaro??? Can I just weld on the braces off of an old rearend??

no one makes then that i know of and welding the brackets on wouldn't work, you'd need the torque arm. moser and strange make 12 bolts and 9" rears for thirdgens

Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
By the time an 8.5 would help you over a stock rear, you might as well go ahead and step up to a 12-bolt or 9". The cost to build would be about the same, but the 8.5 would be the weakest of the three.

Best 15.1 @ 5800' Bandimere. Daily driver while Camaro was being put together.
