th350 tranny ques...........

Actually I have a few questions. IN my local used parts paper, a guy has a turbo 350 for sale. It was rebuilt a couple of years ago with heavy duty clutches, manual valvebody and he's including a trans blanket. The mileage on it is about 50.....yes 50 kms. He put it in his ice racer and it basically sat. He did say that he fired it up once a year and took it for a spin down some country roads. It was built by a reputible local shop and he's only asking $150 Canadian for it! my ques, are....

1.I don't know if it was stored in an unheated or heated garage, but what is the average storage time for a trans before drums and such start to rust and seize?

2.I'd need a 9" tailshaft to put this in my 85 camaro and still use the original driveshaft, right?

3. Since my car is a Berlinetta, any suggestions for the speedo cable hook-up? (I have a digital dash)

4. will the stock crossmember work? or does it need to be modified? If so, what needs to be done.

Check my sig for what this tranny will go behind. Thanks in advance guys.

Full of fluid and all sealed up, you can store a tranny a long time(years).
9 inch tailshaft or an 82-83 th200c driveshaft.
No idea on the berlinetta speedo(I'm sure somebody knows).
Modified crossmember is required.A plate that moves the trans mount forward so the th350 will hook up.
