Just double checking and getting some positive answer, Some have told me it wouldnt be able to handle it, i've also heard theres no difference. So im just trying to figure it all out, I searched but maybe i overlooked it

Can the 5 speed manual transmission in a 1986 iroc 305, Handle putting a 350 infront of it? (probably a l98 or around that type of output, nothing crazy)

PS, What tranny is it exactly in it? I was guessing a t5?

 

If you have a manual transmission in an 86 IROC with a 305, it is indeed a T-5. Handling the power essentially depends on how you drive. I've been running a non-WC (as yours would be) behind a 350ci/330ph for several years with no problems. I do, however, drive like the grandpa that I am.
