World Class t-5 vs T-56 Why get a t-56?

What are some good reasons to swap to a t-56 other that the fact that there are 6 gears to rip through instead of 5?

What are the hp/tq ratings of the t-56 and WC T-5?
And gear ratios....

(planning a 350 swap... trying to decide on a tranny...)

Thanks!

The T56 is MUCH stronger and a better built transmission. The WCT5 is rated around 305 ft/lbs, while the T56 is rated around 450 ft/lbs.

What about a Tremec TKO 5-speed?

Those are pretty tough aren't they?

Tremec's are wicked. They bolt right in and they're very strong and tight tranny's.

the t56 also has double overdrive so you can run deep rear gears OR get much better gas mileage
