I have been looking for this for a while!


This is the slave cly spacer that goes on the bellhousing of a lt1 T-56.
Gm and all other suppliers of GM parts that I have contacted, say it is discontinued and not in stock.
I have contacted: Scoggin dickie, gmpartshouse, gmpartsdirect and a whole bunch of GM dealers.

Does anyone have any Idea where I can get one of these?

Ok, I thought I would revive this post... I still havent found this part in almost 4 months of searching!! Everyone is out of stock. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to find it? New. used. I dont care, I just need it!! LOL, Anyone?

go to a local transmission shop, they usually tend to have connections on parts that the general public does not have. or maybe they'd have one in stock or on an old unit...

GM Locater shows they have one, who knows if they're stock is correct. And there's a company out there that dealers can order from called VPI (Vintage Parts, Inc.) that aquires old GM stock that might have it but they're closed right now so I can't check.

 

The junkyards want to sell you the whole tranny.
I think I tried Wagner cad. a few weeks ago... I will try them again in the morning, though.

Just make one, Its just a spacer.

 

I thought of trying to make one but I dont have one I could study in order to get the dimensions. My local tranny shop says if it is more than 1/32nd off it wont shift right. (Clutch throw incorrect) I have a friend who operates a cnc machine for T/A performance in Scottsdale, if I get my hands on a new one, I will have him make me 5 and keep the program to make more. I just need to find one first.

 

there are board members that made there own, and turned out just fine. my t56 is still out of the car, so whatever demensions you want, I can give you.

 

You're talking about it like it has to be aesthetically pleasing. I've seen people use cut down deep sockets. Anything to give it the right spacing.

 

I wouldnt mind having to make one, I just dont know what the dimensions are supposed to be...

 

Its not listed on their site...but give these guys a shout. They've been helpful for odd parts for me before. Otherwise...fab one up.

drk hey i just called my local gm guy says that a place out in TX had one here's the number good luck 903-561-1212 they used a parts locater for me hope its still in their inventory guy said the name of the place is wangner cheverlot

 

I just posted that. And the guy says it's not in their stock anymore. I think someones holding it because they should've taken it out of inventory but it's been there for awhile.

Yeah Wagner shows it in stock but is unable to actually locate it.
I only know a few people with 6- speeds (They're kind of rare in AZ) All are dd's.

 

www.autogear.net. Thier catalog shows this part for $12.95 plus tax. the online catalog siad effective feb 2005 so I'm not sure they still have it or not. If they do, they're really good people to deal with. I had to buy the fork pivot and bolt for my t56 swap and I got all of that from them for less than my local stealership wanted for the arm alone. If they don't have it and you still need one I may have an extra I'll let you have for shipping cost. Let me look and see if I can find it.

i know this i kind of an old post but i'm on the same boat as you were, did you ever get the part?

 

Apparently I was in the same boat as everyone else on this part, and I called the Autogear.net place and they said that they still had 2... I ordered one today!! I'm hoping that I don't get a call, and have them tell me that they actually did not have it like the last two internet places that I have "ordered" it from.

I will update when the part is in my hands!

 

haha i ordered mine today as well. Hopefully i get mine before thursday of next week, the guys said about 2-3 business days to arrive.

 

I got my part today!!! Looks perfect!

For $13.16, You can't beat it. Just wish I would not have wasted some time trying to find it at other places.
