Is my throwout bearing the prob?
Is my throwout bearing the prob?
First of all i just put a new centerforce dual friction clutch in my car. I put a new throwout bearing in and immediately it started chirpin and clattering when the clutch was in. Now if the clutch is in, it makes whizzing noises in my transmission. If i let the cluth out and push it in real fast the whizzing goes away for a few moments than returns. The clutch works great but sometimes when i let it out it makes a quick whizzing noise. Why would my throwout bearing go bad in 600 miles? what precautions should i tale when i put a new one in? Thanks.

If you used too much anti-s. it can do that as well. allowing the bearing to slip instead of spinning with the presure plate
Yes we did put a new pilot bushing in. I had some oil leaking out of where my oil pressure sender goes in the block. I dont know if any of that could get up and in there. The t/o bearing was from autozone and i think maybe they gave me a non self aligning one. could that have been the problem? i really dont want to replace one every 600 miles
