700r4 to a xfire engine?
can i hook a 700r4 (4 spd) to my 1982 transam w/crossfire wich currently has a th-200 (3 spd) in it. also can a t-56 be installed in a third gen w/o major surgury?

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
There is a tech article on this site about how to put in a T56. I dont know the details about the TH200 to 700R4 swap, but I know it can be done. I think you will need a new crossmember, and driveshaft.
