Can I use a THM-200R4 out of a 88 pontiac or an 89 buick station wagon in place of my 82 Camaro 305 with THM-200? Is this a bell housing no-no? Do I need cross-member changes or other modifications? Do I change TVI cables or driveshafts or anything else?

you need to see if the 200r4 has two sets of holes in the bellhousing.if there is only one set of holes it will not bolt up to the chevy engine.ive been told the 200r4 and 200 are the same length so the driveshaft should interchange

 

I thought that all 80's station wagons were fwd.
If not fwd, it will work if the car that your taking it from is a 4.3 or bigger. 2.8 and 2.5 motors use different bellhousings although the guts are the the same.

Most 200-R4's have two bolt patterns one is chevy. They are the same length so drive shaft fits, tranny mount is farther back so you will need a new crossmember (maybe TTA)
TV cable is the same use yours. Plug and play have fun. 8^)
