Centerforce or mcleod?

my clutch is slipping really bad, i can't hit the gas more than half way without the rpm's goin sky high and the car in a stand still...85 trans am basically stock, i want a heavy duty aggressive clutch that i can tear as$ and rip up some imports with. a lot of people on here talk about centerforce and mcleod, i need some idea of what to get...thanks a lot!

They're both good quality pieces, you won't be disappointed with either one. IMHO the Centerforce Dual Friction is easier to drive but doesn't sacrifice hookup for its smooth operation. It's the easiest clutch to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic I've ever had, but will hook up like a piece of metal when called on to do so.

I have read that the centerforce is good but can be a problem if you get up to 500rwh on a car. I read this in the newest GM high performance magazine.

Couldn't find a Mac with 24 spline disc. Only one I could find was Centerforce. 5-speeds are 24 spline.

To my knowledge, all the T-5s had 26 spline input shaft, I know mine does.
