2 clutch questions???
1st...I just got a T-56 and it came with a SLP light weight flywheel and Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. I see some hot spots on the flywheel and pressure plate...should I resurface the flywheel? and can a pressure plate be resurface?
2nd...Since this is from a 1996 and my car is a 1992 does the flywheel have to be balanced or something? I hear about internal external balancing and I am not sure if these parts require anything to be done to them to make them work.
Thanks

Ok, here is my thing...The SLP flywheel and Centerforce clutch assembly were all installed together and only have like 6,000 miles on them. So can you resurface a flywheel and still reuse the the clutch and pressure plate which have the 6K on them, or would I be better off just using the pieces as they are? I just don't want to get clutch chatter or anything like that from just resurfacing the flywheel and not smoothing out the other pieces.
BigChevy, The Centerforce Dual Friction setup for the T-56 is like $600 so just replacing the pressure plate is not an option.
What about the balancing part, could someone shed some light on that area for me.

No, you won't have to balance the flywheel. The engine is balanced internally.
