i think the th400 will fit with no problems. i know the th350 w/9" tail shaft will fit just fine. you'll need the b&m pn 30299 adapter kit for the torque arm and cross member

well i have a problem solver for you!!th350 ,has 100 miles since rebuild +shift kit.has aftermarket 700 conversion kit installed(uses 700 tail housing with adapter plate)this kit also allows you to use the stock tranny mount+torquearm.everything bolts in!!trans comes with:trans, chrome dipstick, converter, custom driveshaft,x-member,new flywheel fo rolder 350,and a good used flywheel for newer 305/350.
let me know all if anyone is interested!!
asking $350 OR BEST MAKE A OFFER
might trade for some stuff like 145 speedo,iroc taillights,sfc,s ,2.02 heads for a older(early 70's)350,etc

------------------
86 camaro:was a v6 car,now its going to be a v-8 5.7l!!
350:cylinders bored .040 over.a little over 9:1 compression(getting a blower some day when im rich lol)line bored.deck is milled a little(was pitted)
trw forged pistons with summit stage 2 polished rods with arp bolts.
194? intake valves(not 2.02( ),pocket ported,gasket matched,and polished ports,torker2 intake with new zinc 650 holley
matched comp cam...runs great on pump gas!!

ase certified for a few years, learned alot though

working on freakin NEONS ,cirruses, tauruses, cobras(well` at least they look nice lol)and intrepids all day makes me drink too much
good job security though

im always on the lookout for cheapv-8 t-5,s
and t-56 setups.they must be cheap.i dont care of they need rebuild,as long as they arent totally blown
also looking for a pair of iroc taillights,and a 145 speedo(cable driven)

The V6 driveshaft will not fit the TH400 - both the yoke and length are different.

The V6 driveshaft will work with the TH350 IF the TH350 is the 6" tailshaft version - if you have a 9", use a TH700 driveshaft. You also need to mount the torque arm somehow.

Looks like mikeage2 has the solution to your problem. Chevy pattern TH400 cases are like gold, get a good price for it.
