Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my car? When I shift into drive or reverse, there's a slight pause, then it jumps forward or backward and makes a loud clunk, like a bad u-joint(except without the metallic sound) also, a couple times when I stepped on the gas kind of hard when I was stopped, it felt like the tranny was slipping. Could these be related? It's not low on fluid, and I checked the u-joints. It also shifts hard when I step on it. I kinda figure the tranny needs some work, I'm just trying to get an idea of what it needs.

Btw, it's an '83 LG4 700R4.

see if you have a broke trans mount. if you do buy a ES poly mount, they're pretty much bullet proof.
