What size tranny cooler?

What would be a good size tranny cooler. Going on a 88 GTA 350 tpi 700R4. Plan on adding about a 2200-2400 stall converter soon as well.

Trans coolers are rated to a cars weight and intended use.The smaller ones are for passenger cars and the bigger ones are for trucks that haul stuff.I wouldn't go too big, because the trans has to reach a certain opperating temp. to work right. You might be wise to go alittle bigger because your high-stall converter throws more heat( I think ).It's not how big it is ,it's how you use it ...at least with cars(right ede?)

I just put a 2800 stall in mine and added a trans cooler too. It was rated at 18000 GVWR. This seems to do the job pretty good.

well to give ya an idea- i put on in my car, and its about 7x9.... and about 1/2 inch thick? maybe a little more.. anyways, it works great, kept my car from limping away after a bunch of stop lights at the local cruise scene up here...

to give ya an idea, we hit every light before the trans cooler- after the 4th or 5th light is started slippin a bit, slow shifts.

after the cooler, i could go prob 20 lights and it will shift the same... works great, best mod i have done thus far in my opinion... my tranny was hurting for days before i got that cooler and changed the fluid..
