I need help with my rear end
The other day i brought my t/a out for a little ride and going down my street i jumped on it. Following that a loud bang came from the rear end and i was going nowhere. After my friends gave me a push back home i realized my rear end was the problem so i took off the cover and there was 2 broken spider gears. I proceded to take apart the rear end and i snapped the bolt holding the pin in. it snapped about half way in. Now what????? i want to avoid pulling the whole rear end and i want to avoid pulling the carrier and everything and having to shim and all that nonsense. it has rear discs anybody have a solution to my problem?????
if you pull the carrier all you have to do is put the shims back where they came from, long as you don't change anything else ,like the ring gear. can you get a drill in there to drill a pilot hole in the pin? use an easy out and it should come out, the threaded part is at the top of the pin, so all that is in there now should be unthreaded. it's pretty common for the pin to break.
