Tranny mount and torque arm
Tranny mount and torque arm
I need to order a new transmission mount as I busted mine over the weekend.. I am looking in Jegs, and there is a generic GM mount from ES and also an secondary transmission mount. Do I need both, or just one? Secondly, I figured I would change my torque arm bushing while I am there as well.. There are two possible types.. one for torque arm lips facing toward and one facing away from the driveshaft. Im at work, and was planning on ordering it today, but I dont have the car with me to check it. Can anyone tell me which one it is for a 92 RS auto w/ 305? Thanks...

Hate to tell you, but you're gonna have to get under there and look at it yourself... And be sure when you do it. I have a spare torque arm bushing, if that tells you anything (kinda like I'm a dumbass
) I can't remember which one I have left over, but if it's the one you need, I'll give ya a good deal on it...

The secondary trans mount is like a x-member over the 'real' x-member some cars have. I say some because my v6 has one, but my v8 doesn't. Now if I said v6 cars have it and v8 don't I may be wrong because someone might have removed it from the v8 car. The secondary mount has four round rubber bushings about 2" in diameter.
