A knock

When im sitting with the car running, i dunno if this happens when doing something different, but when i put it into gear and back up and hit the breaks it sounds like something in the rear slides back and hits like metal to metal i have no idea about it since i just bought it but any info would help.

Thanks

if he uses indoor extension cords in a 200degree plus engine bay, and installed the tranny mounts, id redo it

Re: A knock

Well for the moment around 600, I need a reliable car so i can get a job, money isnt a problem for the moment so i didn't need one. But that means no extra money for anything so after i get a job ill have alittle more here and there to upgrade. Im going to UTI so state is helping pay bills and such

Re: A knock

Ok Check the tranny mount, have someone do this backing up & brake so u can make sure.

Replace your fuel filter
Oil filter & all fluids, don't forget the rear. Takes Two of the jugs, i used royal purple, but you can go for the less expensive stuff.

Get new plugs, wires, Ignition Control Module, Distributor.

Get two cans of sea foam 9.99$ each at auto zone, this will clear alot of junk up.

If it doesn't have an open air element, get one, their cheap and easy to do , stock setup will actually hurt your performance/MPG.

Make sure the battery and alternator are new, if there is any coloration to the alternator coils other then the rainbow copper look, id replace the alternator.

That should leave some cash left over for fixing your cooling problem and such.
