Need help identifying rear in GTA
I need to figure out what rear is in my 1989 GTA 350 auto w/ four wheel disc brakes. Is it a Posi unit? It is the 10 bolt housing, not the BW 9 bolt style. Can you tell me any information on this, all is greatly appreciated!

Easiest way would be to look under for the "Limited Slip Additive" tag bolted to the rear cover.
If not rotate one rear wheel and see if it turns the same way, if it turns opposite it is non posi.

Re: Need help identifying rear in GTA
All the 1989 GTA's came with a 9 bolt. If you have a 10 bolt then it's not original or it's not a real GTA. The only way to know what's inside the diff is to take the cover off and have a look.
The 350 GTA came with a 3.27 9 bolt.

Yeah chances are you have a Borg Warner 9 Bolt with 3:27's.
You can also check on the side of the case near the pinion, it should say Borg Warner.
