How many tenths can I expect to gain?
How many tenths can I expect to gain?
I am currently running a W.C. T-5 with ltd. slip 3.08 rear in my 88 Iroc. My 60 foot times are horrible and 1/4 is not where I think it can be with my motor's potential. Anybody think I could technically get it into the high 12's with a 3.73 rear or 4.10? Slicks would be in order too I know. I am aware of the T-5's breaking point but I don't care, I am gonna rag it out till its toast. I am thinking about getting a Moser 12 bolt rear with 3.73s and eventually hook it to a T-56. Thanks!

O.k., I didn't wanna do the mod list unless it was needed so here goes.. AFR 190's milled to 58cc static 11:1 comp. Custom EFI roller cam 218in. 228ex. @.50 lift. Roller rockers, 1 5/8 headers, random tech catback and no cat, 24 lb. injectors with edel base, stock plenum and runners and 48mm body with damn MAF (i know i know this setup is a bottleneck)... Thats the guts of it, no ignition upgrades at the moment...

3.73s, a good torque arm and LCAs, LCA relocation brackets, and good tires ought to get you 60' times down into the 1.8x range, at least once or twice before the trans spills its guts.
