has anybody used the solid aluminum billet servos? they cost twice as much as the vette servos, so i am wondering if they are worth $60 dollars, cuz the vette ones are $30. thanks

everyone seems to say that the corvette servo is all you need. i just got mine today and will install it tomorrow, so we will see how truthful they are. my problem is that 2nd gear doesnt like to grab right away at wot. it will shift into second but the motor winds down for about 10 seconds until the band fully grabs, cant be good for the trans...

It might be to late for you CamaroZ_85, the band might be glazed to a point that nothing would save it. Since you have the servo might as well try it. Installing the larger boost valves (.500 main & .296 intermediate/reverse) would help this problem out if you have not already done so. The billet servos are an overkill in most cases. In our 10-second 700R4's we use the Corvette servo. Setting up the accumulation correctly, along with the right 2-4 band is what makes this combination work. I hope it is not too late for you.
Glad Too Help!!!

This is a case of "If a little is good, more is better, and if more is better then too much must be just right!" The problem with going to the billet Servo is that it can create a bind up on the shift because it takes too much to release it. The Vette Servo with a TransGo Reprogramming Kit is just fine.
