Can the B&M Automatic shifter be installed in a 88 Trans Am without hacking up the interior console. Is it a complete bolt on and pretty straight forward install?

yes it will bolt right up in your car unlike mine. my car is a formula and the center console is different the install is pretty easy except for the relay u have to hookup that doesnt come with the shifter. so read the directions before u start the install and go to radio shack or a hardware store and pick on up.. other then drilling a few holes it bolts right up. hope this helps
