84 Z28 3.73 gears swap ?
84 Z28 3.73 gears swap ?
Will they fit in my 89 GTA that currently has 3.27 gears and disc brakes...the 84 Z28 has drums, but I didn't think that mattered.
I've had this car for a while, but thought it had 3.23's until I decoded the RPO numbers.
Seems like it would be a performance enhancement to upgrade my 3.27s to 3.73s

You cant put the 3.73 10-bolt gears in your 3.27 9-bolt, they are totally different. But you can put the whole 84 rear end under your 89, but you'd lose the disc brakes. I suggest getting a set of 3.70 9-bolt gears, but they're not cheap.
