The guy I bought my car from put in a kickdown switch. This is why I think my OD doens't work, but that is a different problem.
First when I turn the kickdown switch on while in OD my RPM's will drop about 200.
Second if I am at idle and in OD w/ the switch on the RPM's will go up and down and then the car stalls out.
Why is my car doing this.

You mean Locukp Switch ?


If thats What it is, then It sounds like its working properly.


Only flick it on when crusiing the highway, To save gas.

No, it is the kickdown switch so when in OD and you have the gas more than 3/4 throttle the trans won't shift out of OD.
