I've read over some of your guys posts, and you guys know your trans, but i got a question kind of off the topic for you and i could never get a straight answer from anyone.

I got a 91 cheverolet pickup with the 5-speed getrag in it, or the "get rag"
the input shaft and the cluster shaft finally blew out when i was towing a trailor, so im putting a rebuilt one in for 975, my question is, i have heard nothing bad about them, why are they so bad? Mine lasted 200k pulling trailors, i dont understand, and there expensive, i know they discontinued them in 93? or something and acdelco offered a replacement, much info is needed,
